Housed in the Madrid Delicias station which opened in 1880. The museum is located one of Spain’s finest 19th century iron and glass railway landmarks. The station itself is a work of art, spanning 170 m under a soaring glass roof. Mini garden trains, train driving, kid’s workshops, etc.., are fun activities for children. Where the central hall displays an impressive lineup of steam, diesel, and electric locomotives, including Spanish engines from the 1860s onward. For families, engineers, and history lovers the Museo del Ferrocarril de Madrid is the perfect spot to enjoy. You must visit rooms devoted to station clocks, signaling systems, railway infrastructure, telegraphs, and a hydraulic interlocking machine used since 1927.
